firSTep 2025 Grand Final

Bucharest, Romania – March 22, 2025 — Lumina Educational Institutions proudly concluded the firSTep 2025 competition with a spectacular Grand Final on March 22, 2025, celebrating innovation, creativity, and academic excellence among students from across the country.

Organized annually, firSTep (https://firstep.ro/) is one of Romania’s most dynamic and inclusive educational competitions. The event brings together brilliant young minds to showcase original research and creative projects across a range of disciplines. This year’s edition saw an overwhelming response, with 637 projects submitted from 15 schools nationwide.

Projects were divided into three main categories:

• Scientists and Innovators

• Social Sciences and Humanities

• Energy Engineering and Environment

After a rigorous selection process, the most outstanding projects advanced to the highly anticipated Grand Final, where students presented their work to expert juries and enthusiastic audiences. The projects ranged from groundbreaking scientific experiments and engineering prototypes to insightful sociological studies and environmental solutions—each reflecting the passion and intellect of the next generation of leaders.

The competition highlighted excellence not only at the individual level but also in terms of school participation. This year’s best-performing schools were:

• Școala Spectrum – Bucharest

• Școala Spectrum – Cluj

• ICHC

• ICHB Colentina
